More on Durer and Physics

An earlier post mentions Durer and physics.
Here are a few more details (also posted on Wikipedia):

In Rock Star's Rainbow, a print of Melencolia I
is used as a bookmark by the anonymous author, charting
his progress while working on a scandalous exposé of a celebrity.
(Unfortunately, before he is able to finish the manuscript,
the reporter is thrown out of a plane over Los Angeles. What
survives is a nearly finished, edited version.)

In addition, a triangular paper football containing Durer's
magic square is placed in a pendant around the
rock legend's neck (unbeknownst to him) to serve as a talisman, protecting him from
melancholy.

As the novel nears its conclusion, the sum of all the numbers in the square (136) is linked
to the fine-structure constant (137) in theoretical physics.

Wrapping Up

I'm in the final stages of wrapping up the book
before publication. Waiting on PCIP block
(Library of Congress info). Also, need
to finish layout for the Kindle version.

After, that, a rework of the webpage
is in order.

Lots to do, but I'm enjoying it.
Hope you will enjoy the final product:)

Book Layout and Surfing

I am up late, working on the final layout of the book. There is a lot more to book design than meets
the eye, but it all meets the eye, consciously or not.

In the end, the story has to kick ass.

And in the end, I have to market it so it doesn't flounder on the bottom of the sea.

Gotta go. You'll find me surfing the waves, chasing leviathans across the seven seas.
